Myrrh was widely used in ancient time throughout the Middle East. Along with frankincense and gold, myrrh is famous as one of the three gifts presented to the infant Jesus in Bethlehem by the three wise men of the New Testament. It is often included in products to treat pain, skin infections, inflammatory conditions, diarrhoea and periodontal diseases. This versatile oil is produced from the plant’s gum through steam distillation.

Myrrh oil maintains healthy skin. Add a few drops of myrrh oil to skincare blends created for mature and prematurely aging or to soothe and soften the chapped skin on lips or hands and rough, cracked skin on heels. It stimulates the regeneration of skin cells, reduces irritations, and helps to soothe wounds. It improved circulation, imparting a healthy glow to the complexion and helping the skin look smoother and more youthful. Myrrh oil also helps heal blemishes, skin ulcers, and wounds.
The scent is smoky, slightly musky, slightly spicy with a warm, rich, timeless quality. It promotes spiritual awareness and is uplifting.
Blends Well With:
Frankincense, lavender, patchouli, sandalwood
Dilution Ratio: Neat
- For age 0-1, use 1 drop of essential oil to 8-10 drop of carrier oil. For age 2-6, use 1 drop of essential oil to 2-4 drops of carrier oil. For age 7-11, use 1 drop of essential oil to 1 drop of carrier oil. And age 12 and above, neat application is safe
Apply 2-4 drops on area of concern
Apply to chakras and/or Vita Flex Points
Inhale directly or diffuse
Do not use during pregnancy.
Avoid using while breastfeeding.
Can be toxic if taken internally.
