Myrrh was widely used in ancient time throughout the Middle East. Along with frankincense and gold, myrrh is famous as one of the three gifts presented to the infant Jesus in Bethlehem by the three wise men of the New Testament. It is often included in products to treat pain, skin infections, inflammatory conditions, diarrhoea and periodontal diseases. This versatile oil is produced from the plant’s gum through steam distillation.

- For age 0-1, use 1 drop of essential oil to 8-10 drop of carrier oil. For age 2-6, use 1 drop of essential oil to 2-4 drops of carrier oil. For age 7-11, use 1 drop of essential oil to 1 drop of carrier oil. And age 12 and above, neat application is safe
