Palo Santo, also known as “holy wood” is a natural wood aromatic incense. Because it is in the Frankincense family and shares similar properties, it can be interchanged when using for emotional and spiritual purposes. The essential oil is obtained through distillation of wood from the wild-growing palo santo tree.
Therapeutic Actions:
Protecting, cleansing, cleansing, purifying strengthening, spiritual, soothing, grounding and calming
Common Uses:
Use in blends for joint pain and supports healthy muscle, joint or cartilage function; used in personal inhalers and massage blends to relieve stress, anxiety, panic, dizziness and nervousness and help with concentration; boost immune system and clear respiratory ailments; stimulates circulation and revives energy in fatigued states; spiritual oil and chances mediation.
Aromatic Influence:
Palo Santo has somewhat citrusy aroma of the oil is very strong and penetrating, with notes of frankincense. It may help to increase spiritual awareness and focus meditation while clearing the space of negative energy.
Blends Well With:
Frankincense, myrrh, sandalwood and other wood oils
Application:
Photosensitivity: None
Dilute 50-50
- 1 part essential oil with 1 part of carrier oil. For age 2-6, use 1 drop of essential oil to 2-4 drops of carrier oil. For age 7 and above, use 1 drop of essential oil to 1 drop of carrier oil.
Apply 2-4 drops on area of concern
Apply to chakras/Vita Flex points
Directly inhale or diffuse
Caution:
May cause skin irritation
Do not use during pregnancy
Should not be used for children under 18 months
Use no more than 3% of your preparations
Not for prolonged use, as the oil can be toxic to the liver over longer periods of time
